This listing covers Southern Pacific Commonwealth-style tender trucks, offered in both 2-axle and 3-axle variants, accurately modeled from Southern Pacific prototype drawings. These trucks are intended for SP oil tenders of the 120-C series and similar applications.
 
Prototype Background
•    2-Axle Commonwealth Trucks
Used primarily on 120-C-2 tenders, these trucks were a common sight behind medium to heavy SP road power, including Mikados (2-8-2) and Decapods (2-10-2). They represent an intermediate step as SP transitioned toward larger, heavier tenders.
•    3-Axle Commonwealth Trucks
Applied to the remainder of the 120-C tender family, the 3-axle Commonwealth truck supported increased oil and water capacity and was paired with SP’s largest road locomotives, offering improved load distribution and stability.
•    Andrews Trucks
The Mainstay of SP's tender trucks, these had a slightly different profile than the more commonly available USRA Andrews truck design most commonly seen in N scale.
