SP Pyle TENDER Headlight - Horizontal surface mount

Add a working rear headlight to your Southern Pacific Vanderbilt tender with this standalone N scale Pyle-style tender light.

Modeled after the Pyle headlights commonly used by SP on its steam locomotive tenders, this part is designed for mounting on a horizontal surface such as the tender’s rear deck. The housing includes a recessed cavity sized to accept a small SMD LED, up to 0604 size, for an unobtrusive rear-light installation.

This is a direct replacement for the rear headlight on Model Power N scale Vanderbilt tenders. It can also be used to add a rear LED to Bachmann’s “Union Pacific” Vanderbilt tender, which is based on the Southern Pacific 160-C prototype.

Resin parts are slightly more delicate than injection-molded plastic — handle with care and avoid direct sunlight/high heat. Minor layer lines or support remnants may remain and are not considered defects; light cleanup, test-fitting, priming, and sanding may be beneficial before painting.

Styrene cement will not bond to resin. Use CA (super glue) for installation.

These models are collectible scale replicas intended for display or model railroad use and are not toys. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
