Southern Pacific F-50-5/8/9/10/12 Flat Car Kit – N Scale
By Folsom Locomotive Works
Add a cornerstone of mid-century Southern Pacific freight service to your layout with this highly detailed SP flat car kit, representing the F-50-5, -8, -9, -10, and -12 classes — versatile cars that handled everything from lumber and machinery to company service loads across the SP system through the 1940s and 1950s.
This model captures the clean, utilitarian steel construction and correct proportions of the prototype, a class never before produced in N scale. Designed for experienced modelers who enjoy assembling, detailing, and finishing their own rolling stock.
Assembly instructions for FLW 3D-printed models can be found here:

Full Kit Includes
•    Detailed 3D-printed resin flat car body
•    T-section Bettendorf trucks
•    Fox Valley Models / ScaleTrains semi-scale metal wheelsets
•    Micro-Trains® 1015 body-mount couplers
•    Digital download with assembly instructions
"no trucks" variant does not come with our T-section trucks, or couplers. this is intended for modelers wishing to model a retrucked version of these cars, as was common in the 1950s when T section trucks began being phased out of revenue service.
Optional Add-On
•    Blackburn-style sugar beet rack — a removable load rack typical of Southern Pacific sugar beet operations from the 1930s through approximately 1950, allowing the same flat car to be used in seasonal agricultural service.
Notes
•    Weight not included. Prototype flat cars typically carried loads in service; for best tracking performance, we recommend adding a removable load or using tungsten putty of your choice. Tungsten putty is widely available from sporting goods retailers or online.
•    Decals not included (sold separately)
•    Paint not included
•    Resin parts are more delicate than injection-molded plastic — handle with care and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
