Southern Pacific Harriman era Passenger Equipment
A cornerstone of Southern Pacific passenger operations from the early 20th century through the transition era, SP’s iconic Harriman cars handled baggage, mail, express service, and passengers across nearly every division of the railroad. From heavyweight mainline trains to secondary locals, these cars were as common as they were hardworking.
This N scale kit series faithfully recreates three closely related—but operationally distinct—Southern Pacific prototypes, all sharing the iconic 60-foot Harriman-era steel carbody while differing in doors, windows, interior purpose, and service life.

General Model Features (All Variants)
•    High-resolution 3D-printed resin, designed from prototype drawings and photographic reference
•    Two-piece construction
o    One-piece carbody
o    Separate Roof for simplified painting and detailing
•    Correct SP truck configurations
o    Supplied with either 2-axle or 3-axle trucks, depending on prototype
o    Designed for 0.540" axle length, 36" wheelsets (MTL standard)
o    Wheels and couplers not included
•    Scale-correct doors, rivet patterns, and roof details specific to each class
•    Ideal for transition-era (1920s–1950s) consists, with earlier and later applicability depending on class

🔹 60-P-1 / 2 / 3 / 4 — Railway Post Office (RPO)
Purpose-built mail-sorting cars used in active Railway Mail Service. These cars featured specialized window and door arrangements to support en-route mail handling.
🔹 60-PS-1 / 2 / 3 / 4 — Postal Storage (ex-RPO)
Rebuilt from former RPOs as mail-handling practices changed. Sorting equipment was removed, but the cars retained mail-service classification and continued to operate in passenger consists.
